Is Your Foundation Sinking?
You may have a sinking foundation slab if you notice:
Windows and doors are sticking, hard to open
There are large gaps in window and door frames
Multiple nail pops are appearing in ceilings and walls
Walls are beginning to lean noticeably
Floors are starting to become uneven
Chimneys are tilting or leaning
Cracks can be seen in foundations or basement walls
When
buildings begin to lean or sink, True North's foundation piering process
can help. We are certified Foundation Supportworks foundation experts in British Columbia.
Foundation Piering Process

Steel Jacks Installed
First, some topsoil is removed and high-tensile steel
piering jacks are installed into the ground next to the foundation
with high pressure hydraulic pumps attached.
Steel Jacks Anchor House to Solid Bedrock
The hydraulic jacks drive steel piers down to solid bedrock, always maintaining an even weight distribution amongst the
pilings. Cement grout is injected into gaps for increased strength.
Drainage & Soil Covering Replaced
Lastly, the hydraulic pumps are removed and the drainage system replaced and tested. The topsoil is replaced with no reinforcement showing above ground.
The multiple foundation piers secure the foundation to the bedrock. The building is now stable and guaranteed to stay that way.
